Carol “CJ” Greer

Attorney

You’re not like any attorney I’ve ever met” is something I hear often.

I did not fit the typical mold in law school either. I am joyful, creative, and business minded. “She is a bulldog” is something I have heard some clients say about me, but thankfully less often, because that is side reserved for problems, and I prefer solutions.

I have been driven my whole life to understand how people generate wealth and how businesses work to provide economic growth, because I grew up economically challenged  with very few opportunities and searching for mentors to get me out of that life. I wanted choices. The adversity that I faced inspired me to consistently, grow, conquer, achieve, and support others on their way up. I love problem-solving, investing in the diversity of ideas, and building systems that help
entrepreneurs achieve their dreams.

There is abundance in the world; and it my mission to help as many people achieve the American Dream as possible. You might say that I make MnMs (multi-millionaires) for a living. I am fiercely motivated by helping families gain financial independence by optimizing strategies, deal-making, and education.

Most of the people who I get to work with are business owners who have built or are building an empire on integrity and sweat equity. They are the super stars, the leaders, the heroes to their families, their employees, and their communities because they genuinely care. My clients are the 1 of 1s. They are incredible.

Most clients come to us with questions related to whether they can ever retire or fire themselves from their business. This is the prime time to establish a strong foundation and build a team around them. Together we look at what a succession or transition could look like and begin strategic planning with the end in mind. I mostly represent buyers and sellers in business acquisitions, but not all of my clients are in the process of buying or selling a business.

When asked “can we”, my preferred answer, is “let’s figure it out.” Clients like working with me because they know that I respect what they have invested into their success and can guide them through the decision making. Clients see that I am here to make their journey to the next level simplified, smooth, and successful.

To feed my desire to understand wealth generation and business as the engine for success, I attended the IU Kelley School of Business and graduated with a BS in Marketing and a minor in economics. Then, at law school at the IU Robert H. McKinney School of Law, I focused my studies on international business and graduated with a J.D. and a Corporate Commercial Law Graduate Certificate in 2017. I served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Indiana International and Comparative Law Review (IICLR) in which I was chosen by my peers for publication on the International Right of Publicity. I helped organize the largest fundraiser in the school’s history and was a semifinalist in a national negotiation competition.

Prior to attending law school, I provided a variety of services to professionals and entrepreneurs in raising capital, facilitating real estate transactions, preparing business plans, and designing integrated marketing communications and full marketing plans.

Currently, I serve on the Professional Leadership Advisory Committee of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, the Board of a 501(c)(3) PitchFeast that micro funds minority entrepreneurs, and Ivy Tech’s Business Administration Advisory Board. When I have downtime, I am an adventure seeker. I enjoy impromptu dance parties at the Greer house with my three daughters, hiking, and painting. As a recent transplant, I am greatly enjoying exploring South Florida. Generally, I live to play, enjoy what the world has to offer. and connecting people to make the world a little smaller.

I want to know you, and I want to help you achieve your dreams. We have a lot of work to do, so let’s get started.
